AAA anticipates that in summer 2017, it will rescue about 7 million motorists from various roadside emergencies. Considering there are other roadside assistance services out there, that adds up to a veritable boatload of cars breaking down over the summer.

Batteries are not designed to last the lifetime of the car, even under the best conditions—and Florida is about as far from ideal for batteries as Voyager 1 is from Earth. Temperatures above 77 degrees Fahrenheit shorten a battery's lifespan. Our southern climate means batteries only last an average of three years!
